Post en expañol aquí =)Again this year had the awesome opportunity to do an interview with the designers of KILLING COUTURE...
I have to say, I love this indie spanish brand... the designers are great creative women who work together and bring every season something unique and affordable into this fashion world. What are the elements that inspire this collection? The Old Fashioned collection is inspired by independent women and women of the 50s, Mad Men style. Women who usually worked in offices in a man's world: pencil skirts, plain fabrics, clean cuts, masculine details ... How has the creative process evolved from the fisrt collection to this last one? The methodology is always the same, brainstorming to generate the overall concept of the collection, selection of models, colors or printed then think where appropriate, patronar and make prototypes. The models are generated by putting ideas into common and if looking for information on the topic we have chosen and technical corrections of the garment are made on the fly. Are there any new sources of inspiration? For this collection the inspiration comes from working women of the 50s, and we have inspired so proper way to dress had somehow assimilated to men, but without losing the feminine touch. Hope, dear readers you enjoy it! (^-^) |
